"Maggie" arrived at the farm early this spring! This lovely mare was an owner surrender through the Maryland Equine Transition Program (METS).
Although Maggie was registered with The Jockey Club, she was never started under saddle by her prior owner.
Everyone at EWS is excited to have the opportunity to work with two horses of the same age, who grew up in the same environment but have different dams.
Maggie's dam, Even Keel, was also placed by METS and has demonstrated a temperament indicative of her name in her adoptive home. Follow Brilliant Smile "Pepper's" story to see how her sister is doing!
Currently Maggie is working on her basic under saddle skills, and will make someone a lovely young horse.
